Are these real Biology CLEP questions?

No, our team came up with these questions after taking the exam multiple times. The actual CLEP biology exam changes questions all the time, so anyone that claims their study guide has the exact questions is lying.

How many questions is the real exam?

115 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, which works out to about 47 seconds per question.

What score passes?

50, at most schools. Scores run on a scale of 20 to 80, and some schools require a 60, so check your school's CLEP policy before you register. College Board does not publish how many raw correct answers equal a 50. Pass and you get 6 credits with no letter grade.

Is the study guide enough on its own?

It depends on your background. If you took biology in the last few years and did well, the 880 flashcards plus the forum thread are probably enough. If you are starting from scratch, flashcards alone are a risky bet. Biology has a heavy conceptual load, and the graph questions need practice that a flashcard cannot give you. Some people do it anyway (Julie Sommer, in the reviews above, started with very little biology and passed), but that is the exception you plan around, not the rule.
